This
tutorial is written for intermediate users, but
beginners may not find it too difficult at all, if
you know where your files - especially your plugin's
are supposed to go. I don't know about you,
but I like to see full-sized screenshots, just so
you know. =)
Today we'll be making a very simple gold garland.
Once it's done, you can adorn it with lots of
different little Christmas decorations. Ready to
get started?
Here we go...
For this tutorial you will need:
-
NEW
Mehdi
Plugin called Fur. Download it from the site
and check out all the plug-ins while your there. I
picked up a couple myself. =) Can't beat the price -
FREE! I'm assuming you already know how to download and
install your plug-ins.

here.
Be sure
to put it in your Gradients folder.
-
My Shiny Things - shinythings_mdh inner
bevel preset, download it
here.

Well, that's it. Now you can adorn
yours with all
kinds of ornaments, lights...lots of decorations. Don't forget
that you can use this as the seasons change too. Play around
with different colored gradients or patterns for the stroke
setting. Also, if you prefer silver over gold, then click
here to see another tutorial on
how to do that.
My wreath at the top is pretty simply
decorated with gingerbread. Of
course, you can be much more creative. I also
changed my stroke setting to something like 50 and played around
with the Random button for the plug-in.
