Did you
know that you can make a straight line using a tube
without having to zoom in and stamp/click one right
after another? Well, I’m going to show you how to do
just that. =) If you haven’t already learned this, this
is a tip that will come in very handy as you learn more
about PSP and what TUBES actually are and how to use
them. Here we go…
Download the tube that you’ll be making a chain
with
HERE. We’re going to:
|
Turn this……. |
Into this……. |
 |
 |
Now if
you are using v.8, then you can put it directly into
your Picture Tubes folder usually located at:
…\My
Documents\My PSP 8 Files\Picture Tubes\
If you
are using v.7, then you’ll have to export the PSP file
attached into your Tubes folder. Here’s how:
-
Go
to File…Export…Tube… and apply these settings (don’t
worry, it looks different, but it’s basically the
same options):

Now when you go to your tube menu, you’ll see it
listed.
-
Now
that we’re all back on the same page, choose your
new tube from the Tube menu
-
Start a new document: width: 500 height: 200
Background: white
-
Grab your Tube tool and click or stamp your tube
just one time anywhere on your canvas/work
area.
-
Move your mouse over to the edge of the canvas
somewhere and hold down the SHIFT key on your
keyboard and click again.
There
you go one straight line. =) Now you can add a clasp to
either end of the chain you just made and you’ve got
yourself a bracelet.

This bracelet was made for me by Stacy from
Gotta Pixel. Pretty, huh? =)
NOTE: OH!!! I forgot to mention that you can
apply this technique to brushes as well. =) Actually, I
can’t remember if you can do it with version 7, but I
know for a fact, that you can do this in version 8. =)
